Prospective Family:
We are delighted that you are interested in learning about the Baker Demonstration School.

Baker's admission process reflects the experiential learning that goes on every day in our classrooms. If you haven't already, please submit an inquiry form and we will begin by sending you an admission packet or any additional documents you may need. We will do our best to accommodate your family and child with a visit immediately if you are seeking 2009-10 midyear entry. We are no longer accepting applications for 5-day Toddler, 5th or 8th grades for 2009-10.

If you are seeking enrollment for the 2010-2011 school year, attend a Tuesday tour from 9-10 a.m. one morning.  Tours are for adults only. Please RSVP for all visits.  First round applications are due January 31, 2010.

To better understand your child's history, we ask for a number of documents. Once a student’s file is complete, he or she is invited to a Toddler, Pre-k or Kindergarten "play party" in January or February; or, for applicants to 1st -8th grades, a visit day with a peer class.  Parent/s or guardian/s will meet with the Director of Admission so we may get to know you better and answer outstanding questions.  A team of faculty and administrators deliberate on final admissions decisions. The goal of every admission process is to determine whether Baker, a child, and their family are a good match.  When space is not available, accepted students will be placed in a wait pool and contacted should space become available.

We hope to help you move through this process with clarity and calm. As one of our founders, Elizabeth Harrison, once said, 'Come live awhile with our children!' We look forward to meeting you soon.
